What is e-Visa Israel?

e-Visa Israel is an online application system developed by the Israeli government to pre-screen travelers wishing to visit the State of Israel. It provides a secure and efficient way to apply for travel authorization electronically.

Applicants have full access to the e-Visa application system. To apply for a visa, a foreign citizen applies online while outside the territory of the State of Israel. Foreign citizens, after the approval of the visa in the electronic system, have the visa generated and sent to their electronic mail.

Application Process

First Phase

The visa application process is only accepted if it is completed online. The application is pre-verified by the Israeli consular authority including the application form and uploaded documents.

  • If correct, a notification is sent that the application has been accepted and a visa fee is requested.
  • If there are irregularities, it is returned to the applicant requesting correct documents.
  • If it does not fulfill criteria, the application is rejected according to the legal framework.
Second Phase

After the applicant pays the visa fee:

  • The applicant is notified that the application is in the "evaluation process" stage.
  • The assessment process takes up to 15 working days, and in exceptional cases up to 30 working days.
  • If approved, the electronic visa is generated and sent by email.
  • If rejected, the applicant is informed with the legal arguments.
